Having worked for a large Independent agent for many years I felt the time was right to open my own estate agency. Along with my good friend and co-founder, Darran Cohen, that dream became a reality in 2006 when we opened The Property Cafe. Our aim was to make estate agency more transparent more relaxed and take the stress away from our clients. We soon established ourselves as the go to agent in town and continue to do so today. On a personal level I still enjoy the day to day activities of estate agency but have become more of a behind the scenes player these days taking care of the administration of the company, although recently I have become heavily involved in our Block Management division with plans to grow this aspect of our business like we have our lettings service. Having joined the estate agent industry back in 2015 I have undertaken various roles within the business both in Hastings and Bexhill. My current position is Lettings Manager. As well as my main role, to ensure the upkeep of all the properties we manage and look after the safety of our tenants, i also assist my Lettings Director to ensure the smooth running of the letting's department. Along with the normal day to day maintenance enquiries i also arrange annually 100's of gas and electrical safety checks. The professional approach and thorough checks we carry out ensure that both Landlords and Tenants keep coming back to us time and time again.
Hi My name Emily, I am the fresh face at Property Cafe having joined the company this year. Coming from a previous sales background I thrive in the fast paced face to face environment. I love everything about the processes of the lettings market and as I conduct most of the viewings I will probably be your initial physical contact with Property Cafe.
After working as a nursery practitioner for years, I decided to try something completely different, something very out of my comfort zone. I started my career at Property Cafe as a Lettings Consultant, booking in viewings, making sure the paperwork and the window cards were up to date. More recently I changed roles to Pre Tenancy Consultant so i will deal with all aspects of moving a tenant into a property including making sure of certification is present and correct and producing tenancy agreement etc.I am really enjoying the busy environment and hope to have a long and successful career.
After working for years in customer facing roles, I decided to challenge myself within the property market business. Adapting very quickly to changes that we face on a daily basis within the industry, I love the fast pace environment it provides. Introducing clients at the beginning of their property search through to their sales progression is extremely rewarding to say the least. My ultimate aim is to eliminate the stressful time buying and selling a home may entail, keeping everyone informed every step of the way. Ensuring all of our clients old and new are contacted on a regular basis is a commitment I provide in this ever changing market we are faced with.
